Current Issue
The Journal of Qur’anic Legal Studies and Exegesis, Vol. 1 No. 1 (2026), with e-ISSN xxxx-xxxx and p-ISSN xxxx-xxxx, marks the inaugural issue of the journal and presents scholarly studies addressing the transmission, authority, interpretation, and contemporary relevance of Hadith and Prophetic traditions. This issue brings together five articles that examine Hadith studies from methodological, educational, digital, social, and ecological perspectives. The contributions discuss methodological reconsiderations in modern Hadith criticism through the relationship between sanad, matn, and meaning; the transformation of Hadith knowledge transmission from isnad-based traditions to formal educational institutions in Southeast Asia; changing forms of Hadith authority in the digital age; the negotiation of religious authority between classical transmission and contemporary public interpretation; and the development of relational ecological responsibility through Hadith. Collectively, the articles demonstrate the continuing significance of Hadith scholarship while engaging with emerging questions in contemporary Muslim societies. This inaugural issue reflects TSIQAH's commitment to promoting rigorous, critical, and interdisciplinary scholarship on Hadith, Sunnah, Prophetic traditions, and their reception across diverse historical and contemporary contexts.
